Despite a million things changing in the execution of marketing, the principles behind pin-point accurate brand positioning remain the same today. Easy to say; difficult to do well.
Marketing invents the future. Without marketers, business and brands would find it more difficult to grow and move forward. But inventing truly ground-breaking ideas is not easy and requires as much magic as it does logic. You need to be a scientist and artist in equal measure.
